This vintage-style blue and cream scarf is inspired by life in Florida in the 1930's. The original hand-drawn elements as well as the graphic design were created by me! It features a typical Florida-style house, sometimes called a Cracker house, with wooden siding and a metal roof for reflecting heat and collecting rain water. This particular house is raised on stilts above a spring-fed river. A great blue heron wades along the shoreline where sabal palms and a cypress tree grow. In the foreground, the inhabitant of the home, accompanied by her ibis friend, explores the river in her canoe and rests a moment leaning over its edge. She peers through the water to a manatee mama peering right back up at her, while the manatee's calf looks straight ahead. In the center of the scarf, great white egrets fly around orange tree blossoms and leaves. The Floridiana Design logo of a mermaid and alligator rest along one edge of the scarf.

The art and design is by me and the scarf is printed and sewn by hand in Montreal, Canada. Since this product is created just for you, it takes about three weeks to get to you. But gorgeous things come to those who wait!

Choose from three sizes:

16x16 kerchief size
26x26 ample amount of scarf for a neck scarf and head band
36x36 excellent for vintage turbans and a petite beach sarong

Smooth surface with low lustre
Very soft hand, lovely drape
Vivid print that will never fade after washing
